Program Manager
Asia is an enthusiastic public health practitioner. Her expertise focuses on improving
Black maternal health outcomes, through community-based initiatives and the
promotion of health equity and wellness through advocacy and preventive measures.
Asia is a trained birth doula, certified community health worker, and Certified Health
Education Specialist.
She received her Masters of Public Health from Thee Jackson State University and her
Bachelor of Science from The University of Southern Mississippi. She is a native of
Jackson, MS where she and her husband, Timothy Rush II currently reside.
In her free time, you can find her playing video games, binge watching tv shows,
reading, or being a self acclaimed air fryer chef. Asia describes her journey in public
health as a liberating and fulfilling experience. Her purpose in life is service, and what
better way to serve, than with and for the community.
